Bella Rosa Pizzeria, located in Yonkers at 1455 Nepperhan Ave., celebrated its grand reopening between Thursday, Feb. 1, and Sunday, Feb. 4 after being purchased by new owners Danielle and Manuel Peppers.
The celebrations included a ribbon-cutting ceremony joined by Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano in addition to several specials.
The pizzeria, which prides itself as "Hastings & Yonkers' Best Kept Secret" on its website, uses locally sourced ingredients for its pies and also serves delicious calzones, burgers, pasta dishes, chicken wings, and entrees such as chicken parmesan.
In a post on social media, Yonkers officials hyped up the eatery, saying, "The ovens are fired up, and the flavors are better than ever. Swing by for a slice!"
The restaurant has also received praise in Yelp reviews.
"Fantastic true NY pizza. Excellent chicken parm wedge. Great french fries. Fast, friendly service," wrote Frank M. of Andover, Massachusetts.
Alex C. of Orange, California also raved about the food in a five-star review: "Went here over the weekend for dinner and it was great! Particularly enjoyed the chicken martini and eggplant parm. The pizza was also really good."
In addition to dine-in, the pizzeria also offers delivery and catering.
